(Broward County, Fla.) To celebrate the 100th anniversary of Broward County Public Schools this school year, the Broward Education Foundation has launched the $100 for 100 Years Campaign.

Themed “Be True to Your School,” the campaign is designed to engage alumni of Broward County public high schools who are asked to donate $100 to their alma mater.

“The funds will be awarded to graduating seniors at the school they designate through the Broward Education Foundation Scholarship Fund,” said Thomas P. Severino, president/CEO of the Broward Education Foundation.  “This is an opportunity for alumni to pay it forward by supporting their high school during an historic anniversary celebration of our fine school district.”

Alumni can log on to http://browardedfoundation.org/centennial to make a donation. Broward Education Foundation will match funds based on dollars raised by each school in support of student scholarships.

In August, the Broward Education Foundation awarded more than $563,000 in scholarships to 156 Broward County Public High School graduating seniors.
