Broward Education Foundation Welcomes You

What you’ll see in this space in the coming months are video and written blogs designed to educate, inform and hopefully inspire you to join us in supporting the amazing students and wonderful teachers in the Broward County Public School System.

We look forward to sharing with you the many incredible stories of the profound effect our work has had on students, teachers, parents and the community.

Since the last bell rang signaling the end of the school year, the Broward Education Foundation has been busy. We’ve presented more than 200 graduates with more than half a million dollars in scholarships, ranging from $500 to full-year tuitions. We’ll be sharing some enlightening and passionate interviews with our scholarship winners and donors here in the coming months.

What you might not know is that over the last 28 years, more than 4,350 scholarships, totaling $10.3+ million have been awarded through the partnership of the Broward Education Foundation, the School Board of Broward County, local universities and businesses to provide every student in Broward County Public Schools who has the desire to pursue a post-secondary education the opportunity to fulfill that dream. We provide college and vocational scholarships to qualified public school graduates who have exhausted all avenues for financial aid and still fall short of the resources they need to continue their education.

Currently, we are diligently working to collect donations for our Tools for Schools program. Tools for Schools was established so teachers from Title 1 schools can have access to free school supplies for their students and classrooms twice a year. More than 9,500 teachers and students have benefited from Tools for Schools since its inception.

Local businesses, educational institutions, chambers of commerce, municipalities and civic organizations are joining us in ensuring underserved students are better equipped with the basic tools needed to kick off the new school year and enhance learning in the classroom.

We hope if you are not yet involved, you will be. Donate. Volunteer. Share our stories on your social media properties.

It’s a small investment that pays grand dividends. We have the students to prove it.
