Innovative Teacher Grants Frequently Asked Questions

Teachers and school-based administrators in Broward County Public Schools working with grades preK–12 are eligible to apply for a Broward Education Foundation Innovative Teacher Grant.
Projects designed to enrich the standard curriculum and explore new alternatives to traditional methods of learning.
The amount awarded varies and depends on the nature of the project. On average, the amount awarded is between $500 – $1,200.
Each applicant may apply for multiple grants per year.
Unfortunately, no. Broward Education Foundation’s Innovative Teacher Grants are awarded for projects not funded through state, federal or district revenues.
A committee comprised of business and community leaders and educators will grant requests on a competitive basis. All Broward Education Innovative Teacher Grants will be awarded in April.

The online Final Report and Survey Forms are to be completed by May. If you used Class Wallet, you do not need to upload receipts.

Grant Opportunities

Each year, Broward Education Foundation awards grants to teachers and school-based administrators for their submission of original and innovative projects. You may be eligible for one of the following grants:

These grants are for teachers who teach in City of Hollywood schools. City of Hollywood grants need to be in any of the nine focus areas, which include:

  1. Arts, Music, Theater
  2. Character Education
  3. Civics Education
  4. Health & Wellness
  5. Diversity & Cultural Outreach
  6. Career Planning & Vocational Training
  7. Environment
  8. Parental Involvement
  9. Enhanced Curriculum, including S.T.E.M.

City of Hollywood Teacher Grant Eligibility

Application Deadline is 4:00 p.m. on December 2, 2024.

Priority will be given to projects designed to enhance and expand the students and teachers integration of the following focus areas:

  • Language Arts
  • Debate
  • Drama
  • Early Childhood
  • Health & Physical Education
  • Music
  • STEAM; Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics
  • STEM; Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics
  • Visual Arts
