We have two categories for you to apply, Teacher Innovation Grants and Teacher Sharing Ideas Grant/IMPACT. We encourage you to review your options below and apply for the grant that is best suited to meet your needs.

Through the Broward Education Foundation Teacher Innovative Grant Fund, we have awarded more than $186,000 to fund more than 295 educator grants. What we’ve learned is that some of the best teaching methods have come from our greatest assets – Broward County Educators.

Teacher Innovation Grants Frequently Asked Questions

Broward County public school teachers and school-based administrators working with grades pre K – 12 are eligible to apply for a Broward Education Foundation Teacher Grant.
Projects designed to enrich the standard curriculum and explore new alternatives to traditional methods of learning.
The amount awarded varies and depends on the nature of the project. On average, the amount awarded is between $500 – $1,200.
Each applicant may submit only one proposal.
Unfortunately no. Broward Education Foundation Teacher Grants are awarded for projects which are not funded through state, federal or district revenues.
A committee comprised of business and community leaders and educators will grant requests on a competitive basis. All grants will be awarded by April 30, 2017.

Each year we award 40 grants to teachers and school-based administrators for their submission of original and innovative projects. You may be eligible for one of the following grants:

These grants should emphasize the “arts” in language arts, including comedy, drama, film, mass media and public speaking in middle school and/or high school. Application Deadline is 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 30, 2017. Copies can be placed in the pony on Thursday, November 30, 2017.

These grants are for teachers that teach at a school in Hallandale Beach. Application Deadline is 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 30, 2017. Copies can be placed in the pony on Thursday, November 30, 2017.

These grants are for teachers that teach at a school in the City of Hollywood. City of Hollywood grants need to be in any of the nine focus areas, which include:

  1. Arts, Music, Theater
  2. Character Education
  3. Civics Education
  4. Health & Wellness
  5. Diversity & Cultural Outreach
  6. Career Planning & Vocational Training
  7. Environment
  8. Parental Involvement
  9. Enhanced Curriculum, including S.T.E.M.

This year’s priority will be given to projects designed to enhance and expand the students and teachers integration of the following focus areas:

  • STEM; Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics
  • Visual Arts
