Your gift will support extraordinary educational experiences in Broward County Public School classrooms in grades Pre -K to 12+ in a variety of cutting-edge programs all designed to promote student success an increase graduation rates.

Innovative Teacher Grants : Designed to give teachers the opportunity to implement innovative, creative and effective teaching methods and programs that improve student learning outcomes.

Scholastic Chess : Next Move – training educators and family members who want the academic and social skills outcomes for their students especially in after school or extended learning programs to reinforce critical thinking skills across many academic disciplines including reading, math, sciences and social studies.

Debate and Forensics: Debate program participation increases an at-risk student’s chance of graduating high school by 70% and helps first generation students to get recruited and receive scholarships to college. The Foundation’s program creates an equal opportunity for students across the district by funding debate tournament fees and transportation for students from lower economic neighborhoods in Broward County.

Garden Delights: The Broward Education Foundation’s Garden Delights Program provides STEM curriculum-based instruction in nutrition and botany through a student-centered “seed to table” curriculum.

Linking Educational and Employment Outcomes (LEEO) reaches 2,540 students assisting them to attain industry certifications and hands-on work experience with a focus on health science, career technical programs and internships.

Literacy: The Broward Education Foundation has joined with Innovations for Learning, a national nonprofit, which has been working for more than 20 years to help primary grade teachers be more effective in their pivotal task of teaching students to read.
