Broward Education Foundation hosted virtual IDEA EXPO for Broward County Public Schools teachers

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – (February 4, 2022) – Broward Education Foundation hosted the Broward Teachers Union 25th Annual Innovative Teacher IDEA EXPO, presented by Office Depot, for more than 350 teachers from Broward County Public Schools who participated in the daylong interactive expo of educational workshops.

Celebrating its 25th year, Broward Education Foundation’s IDEA EXPO is renowned for its peer-to-peer “best practices” sharing to ignite student success in the classroom. During the virtual IDEA EXPO, educators interacted with more than 35 grant-winning innovative teachers who showcased creative projects proven to improve student academic performance. The projects and their creators illustrated effective and dynamic teaching strategies designed to keep students challenged, engaged and focused. Teachers can also download project curriculums, course outlines, lesson plans, resource lists, student worksheets and tools enabling them to adapt projects to their classroom. Broward Education Foundation provides grant funding for educators who wish to adapt these award-winning projects to their classrooms.

This year’s keynote speaker was Joseph P. Cox, president and CEO of the Museum of Discovery & Science, who enlightened teachers on how to grow a community-wide learning ecosystem.
