Latinos In Action is a collection of stories written by high school students to mentor younger students who are English Language learners through their experiences as an immigrant or child of immigrant parents. In their stories, they take the reader through a journey of sadness and happiness as they navigate how to live in a new country and/or how to embrace biculturalism. The book is written in English and Spanish all in one, it’s not two different books, it’s a single book that flips over and starts in Spanish on the other side and vice versa for English.

Through the Broward Education Foundation, proceeds and donations to the Latinos in Action Fund will be used to create, promote, recognize, award, and/or celebrate the current book, and design and distribute additional books. Net proceeds will be utilized to provide Scholarships to Boyd Anderson High School Graduating students who are either in the Latinos in Action class or club.
