Alexis’ family will award a $1,000 scholarship in her memory, to a graduating Deerfield Beach High School senior. The candidate should be an individual who has overcome adversity and who shares a passion and inspiration for life and for making the world a better place- just as Alexis did. The candidate should be a college bound student of good moral character with a GPA of 2.5 or higher. The scholarship is established for someone who will go forward and live a full and rewarding life and who will always remember to be a kind and humble leader who makes everyone around them feel like they are important and special. Candidates who choose to follow a path in social work, mental health, criminal justice, and/or political science will be given priority. The award will be given upon graduation.
Eligibility:
- Deerfield Beach High School Senior
- Committed to a post-secondary education
- Individual has overcome adversity or personal struggle & shares a passion and inspiration for life, & for making the world a better place.
- Good moral character with a GPA of 2.5 or higher

- Studenst may complete the online application at browardedfoundation.org/apply
- Applications must be submitted by the deadline on the apply page.
- Application must be complete in order to be considered. See Deerfield Beach High School BRACE advisor as needed.
