Nation’s Best High School Football Weekend Highlights Top Gridiron Teams

Greater Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (August 23, 2023) – The start of school coincides with the start of football, and South Florida is the place to be for gridiron greatness when Broward Education Foundation presents the 2023 Broward County National High School Football Showcase from August 24 to 26. Fourteen of the top-tier high school football teams in the country will gather to showcase the exceptional talents of young athletes,

“For decades, South Florida, particularly Broward County, has consistently produced exceptional football players who excel in college and often professional ball,” said Shawn Cerra, National High School Football Showcase Co-Founder. “Each of the Football Showcase’s seven games will pit top Broward high school athletes against elite schools from across the nation. This is the second year for the Football Showcase, and the momentum is frankly incredible,” he said.

Thursday’s matchups will see Georgia’s Milton High vs. Western High and Georgia’s Cedar Grove High vs. Monarch High. Friday’s games include North Carolina’s Cardinal Gibbons High vs. Fort Lauderdale’s Gibbons High and Virginia’s Highland Springs High vs. Miramar High. The weekend culminates with Maryland’s St. Frances Academy vs. Chaminade-Madonna High, California’s St. John Bosco High vs. St. Thomas Aquinas, and DC’s St. John’s High vs. American Heritage High.
